Today we went on a group bus excursion to Metro and Tailor Street. It has been ages since we have taken part in one of these shopping trips with the other teachers. The few times we do end up heading to Metro, a large Costco type place where we can buy a lot of foreign foods, etc, we usually just jump in a cab and go. It is a lot quicker then going with a group like we did today.

After living here for almost four years, we take a lot of the day-to-day stuff for granted. As we drove along in the bus, I decided to take some shots of what we see every day. Most of these pictures were taken out of the bus window and many were taken as we were moving. None of them are great photographs but they will certainly give people a “snapshot” of life in the city. I hope you enjoy this glimpse of Wuhan as much as I did snapping the pics out the window as we bombed along. This short entry is also a little test to see if everything is working the way it is supposed to!
In another week, we get our first week-long holiday of the year. This time we are off to Shanghai for a few days and then another few days in Qingdao. And then it is a long wait until our five-week winter break which does not start until the middle of January.
